The challenge in redesigning a couple’s penthouse apartment was to marry the robust, ascetic taste of the husband with the delicate, romantic taste of his wife. A balance between masculine and feminine was achieved through soft edges contrasted with bold, black-and-white details. A sense of spacious ease was created by purposefully leaving space open, emphasizing the interior’s vastness.
